Jennifer + Sean - A September to Remember
A native Rhode Islander for most of my life, I can say with confidence that Septembers in New England are truly one of a kind…warm, sunny, and pure magic. Jennifer and Sean’s wedding day was no shortage of the above, with plenty of heat, lots of radiant sunshine, and a magical love in the air that anyone lucky enough to be witness to knows is an everlasting, once-in-a-lifetime kind of connection.
Set on the grounds of their private residence, nestled among the lush oceanside of Groton, Connecticut, Jennifer + Sean pulled out all the stops for their epic, backyard celebration of love. Together they tackled the myriad of tasks that come with hosting a home wedding, from aligning vendors, planning for guest comfort, mapping out the ideal spots for every part of the day, and even taking on the role of handyman + handywoman, making sure the house + yard were perfect for entertaining.
Naturally a fun-loving pair, Jennifer + Sean chose to keep the food, drinks and guests flowing, with mixed cocktail-style seating, double bars, and a plethora of catering station and food truck options. Wood-fired pies from Big Green Truck Pizza and tasty tacos from Taco Loco were a big hit with the guests and couple alike. Even the vendors were invited to indulge in the fun, a real treat on a hot summer day!
Once dinner was complete, the gracious hosts and party didn’t stop there; handcrafted desserts and donuts were stationed under the tent while guests tore it up with DJ Kappy at the helm. And before the bride’s outfit change so she could really get out there and dance, the bride + groom were whisked away for a magical champagne popping photo shoot - such a fun private moment for these two love birds!
