Commonly Asked Questions

-
A venue coordinator is a great asset—to the venue. A wedding coordinator works for you and will have your best interests, event vision, and budget in mind throughout the planning process.
-
Yes! I am presently the lead planner at SES Events, and while we do have awesome team of event assistants, I will always be onsite for your event. We are currently expanding our team to bring on other lead coordinators, but will always be transparent during the discovery consultation about who you will be working with for your wedding day.
-
We never book more than one wedding per weekend per planner or coordinator, which ensures that we can be fully present with you both physically + mentally for your big day!
-
In addition to your lead planner, often there is at least one day-of assistant who will be onsite to assist. Based on certain guest counts, venues, and/or specific details for your wedding, additional assistants may be required for an additional flat rate.
-
We love to share the amazing moments from your special day with the world and would be delighted to share your photos! Although most of our events do get featured, this is not something that is guaranteed. (And certainly please let us know up front if you do not wish to have your photos used in our marketing.)
-
Some of my clients book two years or more in advance, so it’s never too early to inquire. If you are looking for full planning + design services, we recommend booking no less than 12-15 months out; for day-of coordination, we recommend no less than 4-6 months out (although peak season dates book up early!).
-
We adore weddings in New England, however, we also love to travel and have planned weddings in New York (Catskills Mountains), so we are very open to the idea of going new places!
-
Absolutely! Let’s say you book us for day-of coordination but find you are struggling with collecting your RSVPs or putting your welcome bags together…let us know and as long as the additional service(s) won’t negatively impact existing clients and responsibilities, we are happy to help in any way we can.
-
While there are certain tasks that are not a standard part of our service (ex. setting up tables, moving chairs, creating centerpieces with loose flowers, serving food), we are able to accommodate many requests by planning ahead for the proper time and staff, which would incur potential extra fees.
-
We love talking with you to get to know you, understand the vision for your event, and discuss ways in which we can help make your event a smashing success. Our 30 minute initial phone consultation give us time to do just that, and for you to ask questions and decide if we’re a good fit!
-
After our complimentary consultation, we’ll draft a proposal and contract for you based on the services that best fit your needs + budget. A signed contract and a 50% retainer payment is required in order to get your wedding day officially reserved.
-
We sure do! From photographers and venues, to florists and caterers, we have worked with some of the best vendors in the industry and would be happy to share their information with you!
