The shores of idyllic Newport are home to dozens of incredible wedding venues…from elegant mansions to tented soirees, the world-famous coastline of Rhode Island draws couples from all over the world for their celebrations of love. And tucked back off Ocean Drive amongst some of the best views in New England, sits OceanCliff, set on ten acres of rolling lawns, with sweeping oceanfront views and a world class cuisine, that made the perfect backdrop for Jamie + Matt’s early spring nuptials. 

THE SETTING

While one can never quite anticipate what March in New England will bring, Jamie + Matt’s wedding day was chilly, rainy, but in no way short of incredible love and endearing warmth. Engaged early in 2022, Jamie and Matt wanted their wedding to be filled with meaningful moments for those closest to them, and OceanCliff provided the perfect backdrop for their special day. They absolutely made the most of the day and embraced it with smiles, pure joy, and support from their amazing vendor team.

THE DETAILS

Jamie + Matt had a clear vision from the start - oceanside, understated elegance, surrounded by the people they love. Embracing the beauty of in-between seasons, they chose a palette of whites, deep purples, with black + greens, which brought an instant warmth to the setting inside OceanCliff. One of my favorite show stopping details were the stunning green Louboutin bridal heels Jamie wore with her gown!! With a family friend performing the marriage ceremony and their closest family + friends by their side, they focused on ensuring a memorable and meaningful experience for them and their guests, with thoughtful details at each turn.

THE HAPPY ENDING

From our very first conversation, Jamie + Matt made it clear that enjoying their day, being fully present in the celebration + moments, and allowing their families to do that same was of utmost importance to them. Dealing with an intense apartment flood and having to move in the weeks before their wedding was an unforeseen task added to their to-do list! As their day-of coordinator, it was an honor coming in for the final countdown, helping them build their wedding day timeline, connecting with each of their vendors, and ensuring they could have the stress-free wedding weekend they deserved.
